Our group classes are for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 people
The course consists of 4 lessons, 3 theory lessons and 1 practical lesson. During the last lesson of boating license part 1 we sail the Nymphéa into the canals and onto the IJ so that the theory becomes visible and recognizable.
Boatmasters' license part I teaches you
- The rules for sailing on rivers, canals and lakes
- Basic knowledge of the engine
- Dealing with the ship
- Safety on board
- Basic knowledge of meteorology
- Buoyage systems
- Optical signs of ships

The course consists of 6 theory lessons of 2.5 hours. The mock exam is also practiced.
Boatmasters' license part II teaches you
- The rules for sailing on wide waters, such as the sea, the Maas, Western Scheldt, Eemsmonding.
- Theory about sailing on tidal waters
- Navigation using plotter and compass on the map

Our group classes are for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 people
If you sail on a ship with a VHF radio on board, you need a basic certificate to operate the inland VHF radio. A ship larger than 20 meters is required to have a maritime radio (sometimes two, depending on the sailing area) on board.
The basic maritime radio certificate course consists of 2 lessons, covering the theory of conversation discipline and a test exam.
